Meet Kat Johnson of KJPR
Kat Johnson began KJPR in 2020 with the hopes of creating a no-B.S. PR practice that works alongside clients as an extension of their own team. With over ten years of strategic marketing and communications experience specializing in consumer PR, she left the conference rooms of global advertising agencies and returned to her roots as a boutique PR firm.

Empathy
We believe being a good communicator requires empathy. To understand how to tell a story and be influential PR professionals, we need to connect to the emotion and the experience underneath. Stories have power. Stories connect us.
Reliability
Reliability means delivering results, being honest about capabilities and limitations, and finding a balance. When we say we’ll do something, we do it. We’re clear and realistic about expectations with each other and our clients.
Abundance
Seeing life and work as abundant is a practice that fosters creativity, enthusiasm, and inspiration. Trusting ourselves, each other and our work is essential. We take advantage of new opportunities and we prioritize joy.
Our Brand Values
Purpose-centered PR that tells an authentic story.
Since 2012, Kat Johnson has developed strategies and executed integrated PR campaigns in food, lifestyle, travel, sustainability, and non-profit spaces. With previous clients like McCormick, Frank’s RedHot, Marriott Bonvoy, Canon, Memphis Brand, National Restaurant Association, and the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival, she loves working with organizations to help solve business problems through communications and to help grow brands through storytelling. Her work has focused on media relations, influencer marketing, experiential marketing, advertising, social media, and more.
When she’s not pitching media, strategizing, or reading the news, Kat enjoys cooking meals with her family, listening to true crime podcasts, therapy/discussing any topic related to therapy, watching RHOA or RHOBH, defending Atlanta as the greatest city, eating popcorn, spending time with friends, puzzles, bothering her cat, Bisque, and traveling.
